Hey Guys!

Man was that a full on month! Here’s a cute photo of our squishes aboard the top of our Land Cruiser! They are.. well I think they are, genuinely some of the most adventurous kids known to date! Rocking Africa! We’re so proud of them! We have some big news in this update!

First up! We have our visas!! That was.. a very long process! Over 50 days in the country before they resolved the issue with the UK Embassy, but we didn’t have to fly to Maputo, we weren’t deported and we now have our year long visas! Thank you everybody who prayed! Against all odds, we have them! Wild!

Life here continues to be a mix of beautiful, and hard. We leave our home and walk onto some of the poorest streets in the world. There is need everywhere and we are learning fast to lean into Jesus, for Him to be our constant source and leaning on His wisdom when to withdraw & rest as a family.

Nai is loving Mozambican worship! We sing here in Makhuwa the local tribal language, and Portuguese. The kids have started learning Portuguese at school and really want to learn! They’re amazing.

Very happy to say we are in our new home! After 2 months of renovation, we have landed! They told us it would be hard. We did not believe them. It definitely was haha! Man the challenges here.. so so good to be in having our own place of rest, and space to host as a family!

We’ve also got a guard dog in training now to help guard our new house. Right now she’s tiny and cute but soon enough she’ll be massive - apparently most Mozambicans are terrified of black dogs - so her mere presence should do the job! We’ve named her Leia!

The kids wrote their names on the final cement blocks to be added to the home!

The kids finally had a couple weeks off school as their term break - they don’t do half term breaks here, so the term is looong, but the kids rocked it! We moved house during their break, but still found some time to rest and have fun! And now they have begun their third and final term for the year, and are all still smiling - its been such a blessing to see their resilience in the face of different schooling styles and learning new ways of doing things, they are such champions!

John, Melissa & Titus have arrived back onto the field, its been such a blessing to have another family here again to run with, our families are hitting it off great, and they bring a wealth of experience having lived in Mozambique for 7 years now. They are continuing the process of building their own home not far from us, and its so good to see the ministry of witnessing & discipleship continue with the same workers that had been working on our property.

Now that we’ve finally landed in our new home, we have taken some time this past week or so as a family to rest and settle in. We’re really looking forward to investing more time into the prayer room - as our base leader, Chris, said the other day '“Stay in the word. Hold fast in prayer. Give yourselves to worship as your first task.” Jesus is our number one ministry. And we will be continuing to build on our language and the relationships we are building within the village here.

So thankful for the support and prayers of everyone! We feel so blessed to have such a big family of people behind us. We look forward to catching up with many of you over the Christmas period when we visit!

We’ve moved into our new home! - what an incredible testimony of Gods goodness & kindness to find us somewhere to live so close to the rest of the team, with everything we need to settle as a family - He is a good good Father!

John & Melissa and baby Titus are settling in well! Pray for their house build, that it would bear much fruit in discipleship, but also that they would be able to move in before Christmas and have their first Christmas as a family in their new home!

Please continue to pray for Chris & Jenn and family, who are still in the states, pray the new tests and specialists can get to the bottom of what is going on with his health. Continue to pray for their family amidst the waiting that it would be a fruitful time of rest for them all.

Ben has been recovering recently from typhoid, taking a little longer than expected to bounce back, so prayer appreciated his energy would return soon.

And finally and probably most importantly: Prayer we stay in the word, hold fast in prayer, and give ourselves to worship as our first task. (And continue to pray for us learning the language!)
